sticky pages presents: ASK QUESTIONS LATER
Last we saw of the film photography collective, Sticky Pages, was at their group show for Open Studios Hartford last year. The exhibit featured work from seven photographers, issues of their first collaborative zine Volume 1 and a visual installation, including an array of televisions presenting disconnected content such as a high schooler flipping through the channels to avoid their homework. Scandinavian furniture were placed around the space to give the feel of your childhood family room. Adrian Martinez is sought as the leader of the bunch while most members were introduced to the world of film by his encouragement.
The show will be hosted at How Bazaar's new gallery space at 11 Whitney Street, Hartford. An opening reception will be held this Saturday on the 24th from 7-10 pm.
ASK QUESTIONS LATER will be up on view for one week dating from opening night to 10/1. Enjoy some shots from the gang.
This time around, the sticky gang will have another exhibition featuring 3 of the original cast. The shows titled ASK QUESTIONS LATER will feature Nathaniel Kissel, Adrian Martinez (current photography major at UHART) and Joshua J. with each new material to share and solo zines. Nathaniel, adding his own twist to his printed images will also share some collage work as well as orchestrate another take on a video installation. Joshua will be debuting a short film titled For Now, Until my Last Dying, which will be shown as the second of a double feature along with another short the group distributed earlier this year titled Coal and directed by Albert LaGrange.
